Chef de Chemin de Fer Jim Vissers

The delegation at the 106th National Promenade held in Gettysburg, Pa. elected Jim Vissers as our 2025/2026 Chef de Chemin de Fer for La Societe.  Jim is a Navy Veteran and is from Wisconsin. He entered the Navy in 1967 after graduation. He is married to his wife Cher and has 3 children, Laurie, Adam and Eric. He was honorably discharged in 1974. He is a 50 year member of American Legion Post 258 in Little Chute, Wisconsin. He is a member of La Societe Voiture Locale 1140.

Jim has served both in his local Voiture in many roles and is presently serving as Correspondant and Commissaire Intendant. On the Grand level he has served many positions as Aide de Camp, Directeur of Box Car, Garde de la Poret, Conducteur, Chef de Train, Chef de Gare and currently as Area 3 District Cheminot and Commissaire Intendant.   

Trumbull County Voiture # 1182 from Warren, Ohio welcomes Jim Vissers to the high office of Chef de Chemin de Fer.  Welcome aboard.
