I will place information relative to our Locale, it's members and associated activities on this page. Please read through the information placed here to keep up on those things that affect us here at #1182. I will be sending out reminders of activites that may get lost over time and in between Promenades. Have an idea for the page, let me know, all is welcomed. Thank you.
Well, our new membership year and Promenades have begun, elections have been held and we now move forward for the upcoming membership year.
I have been able to procure Family Farm and Home on Elm Road for the date of Monday, 18 May 2026 from 9am to 5 pm for our fund raising event. Additionally, I have procured Saturday, 23 May 2026 from 9am to 5 pm at Tractor Supply on Elm Road. As voted upon to do these events, I need all our members to step up to work these dates. As of today, 8 May 2026 I have opening times on the 18th from 12-3. Currey and Briggs are tentative. I need Voyageurs on Saturday the 23rd. No-one has signed up for these dates. If we don't fill this, I will cancel it. Call me. We need your help.
Remember: When you enter the Chateau for Promenades our Garde de la Porte and Cinducteur will challenge you. You will be first challenged for your current membership card. After that a challenge for the official password will be requested before entry/sign in is granted. Please note the password for this year has changed. It will not be placed on the website but will be included in the minutes of the appropriate Promenade of the Locale for your notification or please contact one of your officers for the new password for the new year. Please assure you know the password. If not, ask another Voyageur before entering. Make sure your membership card is also signed by you.
All Voyageurs are enrolled in Carville Star. We continue to support the National Box Car association. Chef de Gare Turner is heading up our pins inventory. Questions about them should be directed to him.
