A new day is dawning.  A new year is upon us.  New challenges await us.  Are you ready?  As time passes by we, as individuals, sometimes can get complacent for a variety of reasons. From forgetting the date of the upcoming promenades, to critical family issues, to the grandkids, to illness and mobility issues, we all have some type of reason of not attending the Promenades. But those decisions are solely yours to make.  I am asking that you simply reevaluate your commitment to this Voiture Locale.  We need each one of our members to have a desire to attend the Promenades.  Have an idea to make it worth your trip, tell us.  Are we creating an atmosphre that is not worthy of your time for an hour once month?  As your Correspondant, I am always looking into how changing some minor issues could help participation by the Voyageurs.  Our Voiture has shrunk in membership by our members passing on or non-interest by 50% over the years.  Additionally  we have not succeeded in getting new members into the Voiture.  Invite a qualified individual that you know who would be worth that invite.  Bring them in as a guest.  If we don't move forward, the backward motion will be a complete loss of this Voiture.  Think about that.  Let this year be a turnaround in membership. I am asking for your help for our future. 

This next promenade we will be presenting our Nurses Scholarship to a deserving young man.  We would like a great representation by our membership.  Please plan to attend the June Promenade.
